A typical data line multiplexer which transfers the bus address, word count, data, or the contents of the userdesigned command and status register to the bus. The multiplexer is generally controlled by the two least significant bits of the device address, which are decoded to select the appropriate information for transfer. Information can be strobed to the bus drivers when the device address is detected.
